Costarica

Museums - Art - Culture

The first jewish settlers, the Sephardim, came to the Costa Rican coast in the early 19th century through Panama, Jamaica and the Caribbean mixing with the local population and originally laying roots in Cartago.

This Museum takes you through a walk of history for those early visitors through todays vibrant culture in the San Jose and surrounding area. Artifacts, written documents, photos, film and Jewish cultural displays can be seen along with a commemorative sight for the Holocaust victims in a Memorial on the grounds.

Visits are by appointment only between 10:00 - 2:00
